GOP senator: FBI’s Comey as ‘popular as cholera’

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., said Thursday that FBI Director James Comey is as popular as a bacterial disease that leads to vomiting and diarrhea, as lawmakers from both sides have accused him of helping their political opponents.

“It’s no secret, Comey doesn’t get invited to many parties on Capitol Hill,” Kennedy said on CNN. “He’s about as popular as cholera.”
