Police arrested the driver in a hit-and-ran crash on the Capital Beltway.
Maryland State Police said the vehicle struck another vehicle that had been disabled in the northbound lane of Interstate 495 near River Road in Bethesda Saturday night. The driver of the disabled vehicle was taken to a hospital.
A witness in another car followed the striking vehicle as it continued north on I-495 and onto I-270, until police arrived to pull the car over. Charges are pending against the man, whose name has not been release
