PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — The Dakotas get more of their gross state products from agriculture production and food manufacturing than any other states, a new study shows.

The study done for South Dakota’s Agriculture Department finds that South Dakota in 2012 got 11.9 percent of its gross state product from those industries, and North Dakota was at 12.1 percent. Gross state product is a measurement of economic output.
