The Facebook pages for InfoWars and its founder Alex Jones are on the verge of being shut down for violations of the social media platform’s community standards.

A Facebook spokesperson told CNN on Friday that the pages associated with Jones and InfoWars, both known for spreading conspiracy theories, were “close” to hitting an unspecified threshold of violations that would prompt the platform to unpublish the profiles. CNBC confirmed the report later in the day.
