A cameraman with Fox News was killed while filming in Ukraine.
A representative from Fox News confirmed Pierre Zakrzewski, a cameraman who worked for the broadcast network, was killed while operating in Ukraine. His Ukrainian producer, Oleksandra Kurshynova, was also killed in the attack. Zakrzewski and Kurshynova are the latest journalists to be killed during the Ukrainian invasion.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news this morning regarding our beloved cameraman [Zakrzewski],” Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott wrote in an internal memo obtained by the Washington Examiner. “Pierre was killed in Horenka, outside of Kyiv, Ukraine. Pierre was with Benjamin Hall yesterday newsgathering when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire.”

Scott notes that Zakrzewski had worked with Fox to cover an assortment of international stories from Afghanistan to Syria, describing his skills as “unmatched.”
Pierre’s talents were “vast, and there wasn’t a role that he didn’t jump in to help with in the field,” Scott wrote. “And he did it all under immense pressure with tremendous skill.”
Scott extended her “deepest condolences” to Pierre’s family and asked employees to pray for Hall, who remains hospitalized in Ukraine.
“Pierre was as good as they come,” tweeted Fox News foreign correspondent Trey Yingst, who is also reporting in Ukraine. “Selfless. Brave. Passionate. I’m so sorry this happened to you.”

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense also confirmed that Kurshynova was killed in the attack.
Kurshynova was a “beautiful brave woman” according to Fox News senior field producer Yonat Friling. “She worked with our team for the past month and did a brilliant job. May her memory be a blessing.”

This is the second reporter killed in Ukraine in the last week. U.S. journalist Brent Renaud was shot and killed on Saturday after Russian forces opened fire on a vehicle full of foreign reporters, while his companion, photojournalist Juan Arredondo, was injured while attempting to remove Renaud from the warzone in Irpin.
