PHILADELPHIA — Jimmy Carter ripped Donald Trump in a video address to Democratic delegates Tuesday night by claiming the Republican presidential nominee has “violated some of the most important moral and ethical principles on which our nation was founded.”

The 39th president predicted this election will affect Americans “for generations” and praised Hillary Clinton as the ideal candidate to be competing against Trump.
