WASHINGTON (AP) — The Palestinian Authority’s latest push to establish a reconciliation government with the militant group Hamas is jeopardizing hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. foreign aid.

Congressional Republicans and Democrats signaled that any permanent arrangement between the Western-backed Palestinian Authority and Hamas would force the United States to end some $400 million in economic and security aid provided annually.
