The Pentagon IG cites flaws in 32 Navy sole-source awards

Department of Defense officials with the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) in Philadelphia issued 32 sole source contracts in 2009 and 2010 collectively worth more than $68 million without explaining properly documentation, according to the DOD Inspector-General in a report made public today.

The Philadelphia facility provides logistics support for weapons systems used by naval aviation units.
