A Twitter spat between Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez derailed after she accused him of being silent about white supremacy.

Ocasio-Cortez, a Democrat, accused Cruz, a Republican, of “riding in the quiet car” of a white supremacist train after he posted a meme mocking former Vice President Joe Biden’s latest train-tour campaign event. Cruz accused Biden of joining the “radical left” while Ocasio-Cortez referenced President Trump’s remarks about the Proud Boys during the debate on Tuesday night.
