GREEECE, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say three men have been charged in connection with a robbery at a suburban Rochester jewelry store that involved two store employees and another person being held captive at their home.
The town of Greece Police Department says three Rochester-area men have been charged with kidnapping, robbery, burglary and criminal use of a firearm. All three pleaded not guilty in town court Wednesday morning.
Police say two men burst into a family’s apartment on Aug. 6. They tied up a couple and the woman’s son after they arrived home.
The next morning, the three suspects went to The Mall at Greece Ridge and used a set of store keys to rob the Jewelry Lab. The man held captive is the store’s manager and his wife also works there.
The family was able to get free and call 911.
