A super PAC supporting Donald Trump released a new advertisement Monday capitalizing on the recent shootings in Orlando, Fla., emphasizing the presumptive GOP nominee’s support from the military and commitment to keeping the country safe.
The ads are part of a $700,000 buy by the Great America PAC, a pro-Trump Super PAC.
“I faced the enemy on the battlefield and know what it takes to defeat them. The attack in Orlando is a stark reminder that the battlefield and the enemy is moving here,” former Navy Seal Carl Higbie says in the ad, entitled “The Enemy.”
“But this enemy wont be defeated by taking away our guns or by weak leaders in denial who won’t even call out the enemy by name,” he continued. “This enemy will only be defeated with strong leadership, by a commander in chief who understands the threat and is willing to make tough choices to protect America. Donald Trump is that leader.”
Following the attack in Orlando that left 50 people dead and many more injured, Trump boasted that he had predicted that this kind of terrorism would occur on American soil. Days later, he forecasted another attack would follow Orlando.
“The stakes are high and the decision is clear,” the ad concludes. “Join millions of active duty military members and veterans, like me, who stand with Donald Trump.”
