DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Drugstore chain Walgreen’s revenue from established stores rose nearly 8 percent last month, helped in part by rising drug prices and a calendar shift.

The Deerfield, Illinois, company said Friday that the 7.9 percent sales increase for September included an 11 percent jump in prescription sales and a 1.7 percent increase from the front end, or the rest of the store.
