The account was started to help pay for security expenses for Ford after she went public with an allegation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when the two were in high school.

Ford was questioned during Thursday’s hearing about how she was paying for security and legal fees. Ford said some of it could be paid for by GoFundMe accounts set up to support her.

One of the crowd-funded accounts had raised about $179,000 when she mentioned it during her testimony, according to the Wall Street Journal. As of Thursday afternoon, more than $350,000 had been donated.

More than 7,000 people have donated to the fund, which was created Sept. 18.

Ford’s lawyers, Michael Bromwich and Debra Katz, told the judiciary committee they were working pro bono.

Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegation.
