U.S. Secret Service personnel have been sent to the U.S.-Mexico border to handle migrants attempting to enter the U.S.
The Homeland Security Department has already sent some officers and plans to send more soon, according to a Homeland Security document obtained by the Daily Beast. The plan was created after then-Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen requested each unit of the agency recruit volunteers that would be shipped to the southern border.
