Biden accelerates pivot to ‘build it back better’ at labor union event

President Joe Biden used a Wednesday event honoring workers and labor unions at the White House to stump once again for two infrastructure packages and his broader “Build Back Better” economic agenda in the aftermath of political fallout from the Afghanistan withdrawal.

The president has lobbied Congress to pass both the $1.2 trillion bipartisan package and the $3.5 trillion partisan budget reconciliation package in nearly every national address he’s given since the United States completed the troop withdrawal and evacuations.
