A woman was shot in Columbia late Monday and died at a hospital overnight, according to Howard County police.
Police said 42-year-old Nichole McNair, of Baltimore, was found wounded in the 8700 block of Hayshed Lane at about 10 p.m.
She was taken to Howard County General Hospital in critical condition and later died.
Police are still investigating what McNair, who is believed to have worked as a bail bondswoman, was doing in the Columbia area. Her car was found at the scene of the shooting and was still running.
No arrests have been made in the case.
