Steve King: ‘We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies’

Conservative lawmaker Steve King, R-Iowa, responded to a tweet about “the Dutch Donald Trump” by asserting that “demographics are our destiny.”

“Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies,” Rep. Steve King wrote.

His commentary was attached to a tweet with an image of far-right Dutch politician Geert Wilders, who shown stopping Islam from flowing past the western civilization wall.

Former KKK leader David Duke retweeted King’s statement, adding that “sanity reigns supreme in Iowa’s 4th congressional district.”

In a subsequent tweet he wrote, “GOD BLESS STEVE KING.”

In July, King came under fire when questioning whether any other “subgroup” of people has contributed more to civilization than white people.

“This ‘old white people’ business does get a little tired,” King said on an MSNBC panel. “I mean I’d ask you to go back through history and figure out where are these contributions that have been made by these other categories of people that you’re talking about.”

“Where did any other subgroup of people contribute more to civilization?” he added.
