Nearly nine out of 10 people believe a candidate’s health is an important issue to consider before voting. But a new Rasmussen report found that just one in six Democrats think Hillary Clinton’s medical condition is a legitimate concern.
Three-quarters of left-leaning voters say the media and public are raising questions about the Democratic nominee’s health in an attempt to bloody her image. Across the aisle, it’s a different story. Three-quarters of Republicans are seriously concerned about Clinton’s health.

As talk about the presidential candidates’ health has saturated the news cycle in recent months, voters have increasingly become more interested in learning more about Clinton’s and Republican nominee Donald Trump’s medical records. In early August, three out of five voters said candidates should release their most recent medical records to the public. That number shot up from two in five voters who said the same thing in May.
There is little difference among demographic groups when asked about Clinton’s health. Half of men rate it as a legitimate concern, while two in five women agree.
About 1,000 voters were polled by telephone and online. The poll had a 3 percent margin of error.
