Russell: I don’t want Katy’s money

Russell Brand doesn’t want anything from Katy Perry — not even the millions of dollars he could easily get his hands on.

Russell, who is entitled to half of what the singer earned while they were married (the pair did not sign a prenup), will not ask for a single cent, a source told People magazine.

TMZ broke the story that Russell’s lawyers filed the final divorce papers on Tuesday, and the whole thing is expected to be finalized by June 30 (there is a mandatory six-month waiting period).

Sources told TMZ that Katy made roughly $44 million while she was married to the English funnyman, and with no prenup, he is entitled to half, which would net him about $22 million. Not a bad wage for only being married since October 2010.

A source told the gossip site, “This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch. He doesn’t want Katy’s money. He’s happy to walk away with the money he earned.”

Brand’s rep had no comment on his divorce filing.

A photographer from Iowa has been charged with extortion for allegedly threatening to sell racy photos of a “19 Kids and Counting” cast member.

The stars of the show are conservative Christians Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar along with their millions of children. And the show — well, it couldn’t be any less racy if they tried.

But ABC News is reporting that the FBI claims the photographer, Teresa Sullivan Hunt, sent a letter to Discovery Communications in January demanding it either pull the plug on “19 Kids and Counting” or pay her $10,000.

According to an FBI affidavit, she said if Discovery did not comply with her demands, she would sell photos of a cast member “in apparently intimate situations with a musician” who performs in Missouri and is over twice her age.

The alleged letter said they “claim to be so Christian so they keep popping out more babies to keep their ratings up.”

RadarOnline.com says Teresa offered to sell their website the pictures, which are apparently of Jim Bob’s niece, Amy Duggar, 25, who occasionally appears on the show.

Radar has described the photos as “merely harmless snaps.”
