The Senate impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump will continue Friday.
Trump’s defense team will now have its turn to present its arguments before the Senate. The lawyers are expected to argue that Trump, as a private citizen, cannot be impeached and to contrast Trump’s words with those of Democrats criticized as using similar language against Republicans.
