One woman is dead and three other people were injured Saturday in an attack on Chabad of Poway synagogue in Poway, California, authorities said.

San Diego County Sheriff William Gore said police have a 19-year-old suspect, identified as John T. Earnest from San Diego, in custody and he is being interviewed by authorities. The man was taken in by police after he called authorities with his location and claimed to be involved in the shooting, the sheriff said.
