BALTIMORE (AP) — Another Baltimore baseball great is being honored this weekend as part of the Orioles Legends Celebration Series.
This time it’s Eddie Murray, the Hall of Fame first baseman. He’ll be honored with the unveiling of a bronze sculpture before Saturday’s game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
He’ll also be honored in an on-field ceremony and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Murray is the fourth Oriole to receive the recognition this season. The three others are Frank Robinson, Earl Weaver and Jim Palmer.
Cal Ripken Jr. and Brooks Robinson will get the same honor in separate ceremonies scheduled for next month.
Fans at Saturday’s games will get replica sculptures of Murray.
