NBA legends and former teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are helping bring the story of the 2008 U.S. men’s basketball team to Netflix.
The duo are executive producers of a documentary titled The Redeem Team, which is set to premiere on Netflix on Oct. 7, according to a report.
Made in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee, the documentary will feature interviews with the players and Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski, behind-the-scenes access to the tournament, and the story of how the team charged toward the gold medal, Netflix announced Friday.

The title of the documentary is inspired by the 2008 team’s nickname, which was bestowed upon it during their quest to avenge the USA’s bronze finish at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
Key players included team captain Kobe Bryant, James, Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd, and Chris Paul.
