County governments call on Cooper, General Assembly to end budget impasse

Three North Carolina counties have taken action against Gov. Roy Cooper’s veto of the state budget, sparking another saga in the budget standoff.

Avery, Union and Sampson county commissioners all unanimously have voted to file a resolution that calls on the governor to enact the budget and release funds for the counties’ operations.
