Secretariat’s birthplace in Va. expands days

DOSWELL, Va. (AP) — Fans of the Triple Crown great Secretariat now have more days to visit the fields where the thoroughbred was born and raised.

Now known as The Meadow Event Park, the Caroline County site is home of the annual State Fair of Virginia. It also is the former home of Meadow Farm, where Secretariat was born in 1970.
