Everyone has a birthday, but not everyone celebrates a birthday the same way. Getting a special cake is one way to make a birthday party unique and memorable.
“One of the most unique birthday cakes we?ve ever done was a life-size Scrabble board,” said Mary Alice Yeskey, store manager at Charm City Cakes in Baltimore.
“We primarily do custom cakes, working with our clients to develop ideas for the cakes,” she said. “We?ve also done circus cakes and replicas of people flying airplanes.”
The cakes made by Charm City Cakes are expensive, but the price mainly depends on the size and type of cake.
“We like challenging cakes because it give us an opportunity to do something different instead of something we?ve already done a hundred times,” Yeskey said.
