WALLKILL, N.Y. (AP) — State police say they’ve charged three men in connection with a shooting that occurred on an upstate New York highway.
Troopers say they received a report around 4:30 a.m. Saturday that shots were fired at a vehicle as it traveled west on Interstate 84 in the Orange County town of Wallkill.
Police say five men in the vehicle had left a nightclub in the city of Newburgh, where the driver had an altercation with another man.
While they traveled on I-84, a Honda Accord pulled alongside their car and three shots were fired. One bullet penetrated the car but no one was injured.
The vehicles exited onto Route 17, where the Honda’s driver rammed the other vehicle.
Police say they later arrested three men, all in their 20s and all from Liberty in neighboring Sullivan County.
