In a Thursday night phone interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, President Trump joked that special counsel Robert Mueller’s subdued performance on Capitol Hill made former Vice President Joe Biden look energetic.

Responding to a question about how he regarded the current top contenders for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, Trump said, “Sleepy Joe [Biden] is OK, but he’s fading, I think he’s fading fast. The only good thing about Mueller is it made Joe Biden look like a dynamo … if you watched Mueller’s performance yesterday, I think probably Biden is the one that asked him to go on.”
