President Obama on Monday, continuing his “Year of Action,” signed an executive order barring workplace discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.
Obama’s executive order bans discrimination against the LGBT community for sexual orientation and gender identity by federal contractors. Monday’s executive order applies to 24,000 companies who are designated as federal contractors.
