A 25-year-old Oxon Hill man who died late Friday was the 100th homicide reported this year by Prince George’s County police. He was the last of three men slain Friday in the county in separate incidents.

Police said they found Darvis Leon Haskins at about 10:54 p.m. on a sidewalk in the 1100 block of Southview Drive, the same block where he lived, with head trauma. Haskins died after being transported to a local hospital.

At about 5:48 p.m. Friday, police found a 20-year-old Clinton man shot to death in the 6800 block of Dunnigan Drive in Clinton. Gary Delany Crisp, of the 9000 block of Linhurst Drive, was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

An engineer and producer at a Fort Washington recording studio was the first homicide reported on Friday. Ronald Brown, of the 600 block of Stillwater Place in Mitchellville, was shot and killed after confronting the driver of a tow truck who had driven away with Brown’s Chrysler 300 sedan in what police suspect was a car theft.

Reported homicides in Prince George’s County are down about 26 percent from this time last year. Police said there were 136 killings at this point in 2005.
