A Florida woman has been indicted for threatening the parent of a Sandy Hook shooting victim.

Lucy Richards of Tampa, 57, made death threats against the parent, Lenny Pozner, because she thought the 2012 attack that took the lives of 20 elementary school students was a hoax.

According to the Justice Department, she was arrested on Monday after a grand jury indictment on four felony counts of transmitting threats.

Court documents show the threats were made Jan. 10, and included messages that said, “you gonna die, death is coming to you real soon,” and “LOOK BEHIND YOU IT IS DEATH.”

Another threat said, “there’s nothing you can do about it.”

No further details were offered as to why Richards thought the 2012 Sandy Hook School shooting in Newtown, Conn., was a hoax that never happened and was motivated to make the threats. Pozner’s 6-year-old son Noah was among the 20 students and the six adults who were killed in the shooting.

If Richards is convicted, she could face a maximum of 20 years in prison. She made her initial appearance in front of a federal judge on Monday and will appear in court again on Dec. 19.
