Interior approves new offshore wind project along New York-New Jersey coast
The ship UHL Felicity carrying massive parts for offshore wind turbines, is docked on May 2023 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Interior approved plans for the Empire Wind offshore wind project operated by Equinor and BP, a victory for the commercial-scale U.S. offshore industry.

The Interior Department approved plans Wednesday for the Empire Wind projects offshore New York and New Jersey, delivering a win for the industry and for commercial-scale wind projects that have struggled to adjust to higher costs in the U.S.
