Alabama voters headed to the polls Tuesday to decide a handful of key primary runoffs. The biggest race is between Rep. Martha Roby, a Republican who was forced into a second round of balloting when just 39 percent of the vote on June 5, and former Rep. Bobby Bright. Roby has struggled over the perception she is not sufficiently loyal to President Trump, but Bright last served in Congress as a Democrat who voted for Nancy Pelosi for speaker. Trump has endorsed Roby.

There is also a Republican primary runoff for lieutenant governor between Will Ainsworth and Twinkle Cavanaugh. Also on the GOP side, Steve Marshall and Troy King are squaring off for attorney general. Gov. Kay Ivey will not be appearing on the ballot, as she won a majority in the first round.

Crossover voting is not allowed. Voters must cast ballots for the same party they voted for in June.
