ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Rochester police are investigating the death of a man who was found by officers called to a home on the city’s west side to investigate an attempted burglary.
Police tell local media the man did not live at the residence and believe he was killed during a confrontation with one of the six people who live in the home.
Authorities say none of the home’s residents, which include a man, his wife and their four children, was hurt during the break-in.
Lt. Frank DiPrimo says no charges have been filed.
Several homes along the street, including three near the crime scene, have been boarded up and abandoned.
