John Oliver mocks Trump for signing tornado victims’ bibles in Alabama

Late night comedian John Oliver mocked President Trump for signing bibles for victims of tornadoes in Alabama during his visit there last week.

“I am not remotely surprised that Trump did that, I’m just slightly confused as to why anyone would want him to, because seeing Trump’s autograph on a bible should be like seeing a picture of your own mom on the cover of a Penthouse magazine,” Oliver said during his Sunday night show.

“It should render the whole thing useless, and if you keep reading after discovering it, you’re going directly to hell,” he said.

Trump visited Alabama Friday and paid his respects to the 23 victims who lost their lives, and dozens others who were injured, after tornadoes ravaged the state.

Alabama residents said Trump’s visit was “a godsend,” and churchgoers at Southern Baptist in Opelika, Ala., asked the president to sign their bibles when he stopped by.
