Michael Cohen: ‘I have never threatened’ Stormy Daniels

President Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen says he has never threatened porn star Stormy Daniels amid claims from her lawyer that she had been physically threatened.

Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti made the claim last week but declined to provide more details on the matter.

Cohen told Vanity Fair in an interview published Monday that he’s never had any sort of contact with Daniels, also known as Stephanie Clifford.

“I have never spoken to her. I have never e-mailed her. I have never met her. I have never texted her,” he told the publication. “Every interaction with Ms. Clifford was always through her previous attorney.”

When asked whether Daniels was threatened by anyone connected to Trump, Cohen said he could only speak for himself.

“I reiterate: I have never threatened her in any way and I am unaware of anyone else doing so,” Cohen said.

Daniels is currently in a legal battle with Trump’s personal lawyer after she sued Trump earlier this month, arguing their nondisclosure agreement is invalid because he never signed it. The suit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and alleges Cohen used “intimidation and coercive tactics” to keep Daniels from talking about the alleged affair.

Cohen has since accused Daniels of violating the nondisclosure agreement 20 times and asked for $20 million in damages, and the White House has denied the affair.

If Daniels is ordered to pay up, Cohen says he’ll use it to pay his legal fees and then donate the rest to charity.

“You know what?” he added. “The more I’m thinking about it, I might even take an extended vacation on her dime.”
