A ‘short’ campaign: Don Trump Jr. mocks Bloomberg height after billionaire quits 2020 race

The eldest son of President Trump trashed former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg after the billionaire called it quits on his run for president.

Bloomberg, who spent more than half a billion dollars on ad buys in early primary states, managed to win only the U.S. territory American Samoa and finished a distant third in most of the 14 states that voted on Super Tuesday.

“It was a ‘short’ campaign,” tweeted Donald Trump Jr. in response to news that Bloomberg suspended his campaign Wednesday morning.

Donald Trump Jr.’s father spent much of the last month denigrating Bloomberg’s campaign and mocking the former mayor’s height, calling the candidate “Mini Mike.” The president predicted that the billionaire would use a box to stand on during his Democratic debate performances, after which the Bloomberg campaign confirmed there would be no box.

During his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday, President Trump ducked behind the podium and yelled, “Get me off the stage,” mocking the billionaire’s reaction to Sen. Elizabeth Warren attacking his record on women and minority issues.
