Flooding across the state caused unknown numbers of widespread damages to businesses, homes, trees, and power lines. State emergency officials said damage assessments were in progress on Monday.

The three newly reported deaths involved at least two vehicle accidents.

One man reportedly drowned in his truck after driving around a barricade in Cheatham County on Sunday evening, the county’s fire chief and emergency management director told NBC.

A 61-year-old woman reportedly died in Hawkins County Sunday afternoon after the vehicle was swept away, the outlet reported.

The state is reportedly slated to receive 1 to 2 inches of more rain, according to the NWS. Rivers and creeks are expected to stay at flood levels for several days, though the service said the additional rains will likely cause some localized flooding.
