Four people were killed in a shooting at an Ohio apartment on Monday evening.
The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the village of West Jefferson, near Columbus, and three males and one female were killed, according to local reports.
Three of the four victims were found inside of the home, while the fourth was found outside.

“Things like this don’t happen in West Jefferson, or don’t happen in small towns,” West Jefferson Police Chief Chris Floyd said, according to local NBC-affiliate WCMH, adding that the last homicide in West Jefferson was at least seven years ago.

Floyd said investigators did not have many specifics in the case yet nor any suspects.
“We don’t know whether it’s a robbery, a target. We don’t know at this point,” he said. “Something brought somebody to a dead-end street.”
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting local police with their investigation.
The West Jefferson shooting comes two days after a Sunday shooting in Columbus took the life of a 16-year-old and left five other teenagers injured.
