House to eliminate funding for ex-speakers

The House today is expected to zero out funding that had long been provided to former House speakers to use after they leave the office.

A top Republican aide said Speaker Paul Ryan has called on appropriators to eliminate all funding, which had traditionally been provided to a former speaker for five years.
