Democrats narrow list for 2020 DNC convention to four cities

The Democratic National Committee narrowed its list of possible locations for its 2020 convention down to four cities.

Finalists include Denver, Houston, Miami Beach, and Milwaukee, according to a DNC official. The DNC will begin site visits and surveys of each city later this summer and fall.

The 2020 Democratic Convention is set for July 13-16, one week before the Summer Olympics.

“The date chosen will put the party’s nominee in the strongest position possible heading into the general election by allowing the nominee more time to use general elections funds and travel across the country to discuss the issues that matter most to voters,” the official said.
