House Democrats have delivered the articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate.
Democratic impeachment managers walked the articles over to the other chamber Wednesday afternoon after Speaker Nancy Pelosi signed a resolution passed by the House earlier in the day.

Democrats passed two articles charging the president with obstruction of Congress and abuse of power.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, said Democrats would formally exhibit the articles on Thursday. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts will swear in senators as jurors on Thursday afternoon, McConnell said.
A trial is scheduled to begin next week.
“The trial will commence in earnest on Tuesday,” McConnell said.
“This is a difficult time for our country,” he said, adding that the Senate was designed to handle the matter fairly.
