Pharmacy worker accused of stealing, selling drugs

A Bel Air pharmacy assistant allegedly stole thousands of dollars? worth of prescription drugs and other items from a Target in Abingdon, then sold them on the Internet, state police said Monday.

George Waters, 38, of the unit block of Oak Crest Court, was arrested Thursday and charged with theft and malicious destruction of property. Waters has worked at Target six years.

Troopers said they recovered diabetic test strips, prescription medications, electronic equipment, DVDs, compact discs and computer accessories from Waters? home. Investigators also recovered five computers and numerous hard drives, which will be analyzed by the State Police Computer Crimes Unit because police believe Waters was selling the items on the Internet.
