WASHINGTON (AP) — The Smithsonian Board of Regents plans to name a new secretary to lead the world’s largest museum and research complex in Washington.

The governing board scheduled a news conference for Monday. The new head of the Smithsonian Institution will replace Secretary Wayne Clough (cluff), who plans to retire in October after more than six years in the post.
