U.S. senators from Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island are part of a bipartisan group of lawmakers calling on President Obama to develop a stronger strategy for addressing the humanitarian crisis in Syria.
The call is part of the “Syrian Humanitarian Resolution of 2014” that the group of 19 senators introduced on Friday. It condemns the unlawful use of violence against civilians in Syria and urges all parties to allow for immediate access to humanitarian aid.
