Former President Donald Trump’s 91 indictments and various civil cases gave him a significant fundraising advantage, and he’s used those donor funds to pay his hefty legal fees.
New figures filed with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday show Trump’s two political arms — Save America PAC and Make America Great Again PAC — spent about $50 million in legal bills in 2023. The expenses cover some of Trump’s advisers and associates across his legal defense for four indictments and civil trials.
