A former Trump administration official who was shot during a carjacking Monday in Washington died of his injuries at 56 on Saturday, his wife said.
Mike Gill, who served as chief of staff for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission during the Trump administration, sustained life-threatening injuries, according to the Metropolitan Police Department, and was taken to a local hospital.
