Trump still has confidence in Johnson despite failed Mayorkas impeachment vote

Former President Donald Trump maintained his support for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Thursday even though the House failed to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday night.

Trump spoke to reporters shortly after the Supreme Court of the United States heard opening arguments Thursday in Trump v. Anderson, a landmark case concerning Trump’s ability to run for the White House in 2024 pursuant to the 14th Amendment, and he was asked about Republicans’ stalled impeachment efforts.
