Democrats’ violent rhetoric is a threat to human life both inside and outside the womb

If you tuned into the media’s Sunday shows following the incident, you may have missed it.

How many times did ABC’s This Week mention the attempted slaying? Zero.

What about NBC’s Meet The Press? Zero.

CBS’s Face The Nation or CNN’s State of the Union? Zero.

The only major Sunday show to cover the atrocity was Fox News Sunday.

So why was there no legacy media outrage? Because they’ve thrown their journalistic principles in the trash in favor of the liberal pro-abortion movement.

But they’re not alone in refusing to condemn the act. Even some of our political leaders have actively encouraged violence against those they may disagree with.

Just two years ago, Sen. Chuck Schumer threatened Kavanaugh, claiming he would “pay the price” and that he “won’t know what hit [him]” should the justice make decisions that the Senate majority leader doesn’t like.

This is a completely reprehensible comment by the leader of the Senate. This rhetoric undoubtedly encouraged not only this past week’s attacks, but also vandalism at pregnancy care centers across the country.

In fact, many pregnancy centers have been vandalized across the United States since the Supreme Court draft opinion was leaked.

In Virginia, a pro-life resource center was littered with graffiti containing disgraceful pro-abortion rhetoric. Its director said the location simply provides expectant mothers with accurate and free medical services so they can make an informed decision. Yet, the pro-abortion movement vandalized it.

In Texas, another center was also defaced, accusing the center of encouraging “murder” due to “forced birth.” That could not be farther from the truth.

In Oregon, multiple offices were literally firebombed and the staff left traumatized. These members of our society chose a career path that supports life. For that, their opponents burned their buildings.

In Wisconsin, the headquarters of Wisconsin Family Action fell victim to an arson attack on its offices. How many suspects have been caught, let alone identified? Zero.

Is this the work of the “tolerant,” woke Left? Hardly.

Our nation’s 2,700 pregnancy care centers work around the clock to provide support for expectant mothers. These clinics served close to 2 million people in 2019 and provided over $266 million in total value for services and material assistance.

The outpouring of support for these locations continues despite these attacks. For example, Care Net-affiliated pregnancy centers have accumulated a 99.19% positive rating from their clients and patients.

So as the Supreme Court prepares to release its final decision on Roe v. Wade, the Left must resist its calls for “a summer of rage” and its pledges to be “ungovernable.” This violence must stop — inside the womb and outside the womb.

Let us urge the leader of the Senate to uphold his oath of office and not encourage more violence toward his political enemies.

Let us hold the media accountable when they refuse to cover violent extremism.

And let us pray that the Supreme Court’s decision is one that upholds the sanctity of life and pushes our nation into a new, better era.
