Donald Trump laughed off technical issues with his microphone at a rally on Monday, comparing the situation to his first presidential debate and using the opportunity to take a jab at Hillary Clinton.
“Oh, I thought that was the Commission on Presidential Debates,” Trump quipped midway through a speech in Pueblo, Colo., after his audio disappeared for several seconds. “I didn’t know they were here.”

The debate commission confirmed last week that Trump had indeed faced issues with his audio during the first debate, after the Republican presidential nominee was mocked for complaining about receiving a “defective mic.”
“My biggest opponent was the microphone,” Trump joked.
Despite Clinton being seen as the clear winner of last Monday’s battle in post-debate polls, Trump tweeted over the weekend that he “won the debate if you decide without watching the totally one-sided ‘spin’ that followed” and ignored his “really bad microphone.”
The two candidates will face off again in a town-hall style debate this coming Sunday, Oct. 9.
